Swimming With Cichlids - Haplotaxodon juveniles at Mvuna Island
Best Fishes Angel, Hope you have great day!! 🎉🎂🎉
Check out this herd of Haplotaxodon juveniles moving across the rocks at Mvuna Island, every time I watch it, I think about you! I think it is amazing that this bi-parental mouthbrooder breeds at the same time and then the juveniles move on, and form these giant schools, looking to feed on plankton.

Swimming With Cichlids - Across The Rocks at Muzi
Просмотров 28528 дней назад
Look how big these Variabilichromis moorii fry are and still being tended by their parents. See a loner scale eater; Perissodus microlepis cruise the rocks, and it is always fun to see juvenile Lates species in the shallow rocky habitat. Heading south Muzi is the last location that we will see Ophthalmotilapia ventralis presenting yellow. You can see the body color is trying to turn blue, but the fins are still bright yellow. Muzi, Tanzania - Lake Tanganyika #luckycichlidgirl #someonehastodoit #swimmingwithcichlids

Here at Muzi I came across a small patch of Vallisneria spiralis. It is below my reach, so I am trying to stick my GoPro down in it, wondering if any fish will come out. 😂 Guest appearance: Shuja horei (formerly Ctenochromis horii) Muzi, Tanzania - Lake Tanganyika #luckycichlidgirl #someonehastodoit #swimmingwithcichlids

Watch the Ophthalmotilapia ventralis, guard their territory. They are sometimes called “Ice Blue” because the fins are so white. Always a joy to watch in the lake. Cape Chaitika, Zambia - Lake Tanganyika #luckycichlidgirl #someonehastodoit #swimmingwithcichlids

Watch the Tropheus moorii in a group eating like they haven't seen food for days. They are not casually grazing; they are eating like there is no tomorrow. Even when the water is rough, their bodies go with the current, but their mouths never leave the rock - Guest Appearance: Perissodus microlepis - Cape Chaitika, Zambia - Lake Tanganyika #luckycichlidgirl #someonehastodoit #swimmingwithcichlids

Always a thrill to see Tropheus sp. black “ikola” ❤️ That incredible yellow bar really stands out against the rocks in the shallow rocky habitat. “Ikola” is way less organized than T. annectens, they are more independent and rarely gather up in groups. The O.ventralis here has a medium blue body with a nice blue in the dorsal and fins. Here is a wide view of a male bringing a female back to his rock. She looks to be holding, but you never know the whole story with O. Ventralis, sometimes they lay eggs and sometimes they just do the dance, studies show a typical brooding female’s clutch is sired by more than 10 different males, so she is also ...

Could you inform me about other sp of chiclids near to them?
I am not sure I understand your question, are you wondering what these other Cichlids that are in the video, or are you wondering what other cichlids are found in the Mahale Mountains National Park? Thanks for watching!😊❤️
@@PamChin100 i wanted to do a biotope so I ordered some bulu for the tank but I'm not sure what other chiclids are together so I wanted to know what chiclids are found in the mahale
Keep in mind that may be a difficult task, since the fish from Mahale are illegal to collect. Mahale National Park is over 50 km long, so it would be better to pick a specific site, not an entire area. Please don't call these "Bulu Point" because they are not found there and Bulu Point is not in the Mahale National Park. 😂 This is Tropheus sp black, sometimes called Cherry spots, kirschfleck or double spot , that would be a more accurate description. Found with the Pseudosimochromis, Simochromis, Petrochromis, Ophthalmotilapia, Cyprichromis, Chalinochromis to name a few.
@@PamChin100 I appreciate it thank you so much
❤👌
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻😎

This lake is a paradise! Greetings from America.🗽
Thanks for watching!😊❤️
Thanks God it is not a coral reef with deer-horn corals. Love your video clips Pam
😂 Thanks for watching!❤️
Is that turbulence natural?
Yes sometimes it can get really rough, this isn't too bad and the clarity of the water is good. Sometimes the movement is amplified because I am floating on the surface. 😊❤️ Thanks for watching!
hello Pam, thanks for the video, its amazing this fish. What is the max length they reach in nature?
I would say about 12 cm, they don't get too big, but when they expand their fins, they look larger 😊❤️
@@PamChin100 Years ago had a reproductive trio 2 she and 1 he. The male was gigantic as far as I can remember it was at least 20 cm.
Wow that would be huge!😂❤️.
Krásné ryby 😉💯
Thanks for watching! 😊❤️
Strikingly beautiful!
I agree!!! Thanks for your support!
Tack!! Vad har växten för namn?

Swimming with a cichlid :)
😂
💯💯💯👍🏻
the fish is flamboyant, great speciman, what disappoint me are the boulders some are square, it seems a sort of a fortress wall after a shock, a crumbled wall of some sort
Yes the rocks have come from the bluff above, it is the north end of the Ulungu Escarpment, and it is easy to see where it is falling from. Thanks for watching! 😊❤️
💯💯💯👍🏻
Fantastisch 👌🏻 😎 👌🏻

Amazing!

Hi Pam, those Tropheus remember me the coral reef parrot fishes, same feeding behavior
It is pretty fun to watch! 😊❤️
